Course Description: Thiscourse is the second in a series of classes focusing on English conversation, pronunciation, listening, reading, writing, grammar,
common errors, American culture and basic civics.
Pre-requisite: Completion of Beginning Literacy or placement exam
Textbook: Future and accompanying workbook (can be purchased in class from the instructor). Cost is $25.00 for both books. We will use the
book each class period. The workbook will primarily be used for homework.
Attendance: It is VERY important that you attend class regularly and that you arrive on time. If you miss a class, it is your responsibility
to contact the teacher or another student and make up any missed assignments at home. Check in on the attendance sheet
by the door every day.

Class Rules:
1. Attend class regularly and arrive on time. (If you arrive late, please do not disrupt the class.)

3. Be respectful of the teacher, adult school staff, and other students.
4. Turn your cell phone to silent in before class starts. No texting, talking, web browsing, etc. in class. If there’s an emergency, please go outside to the
parking lot if you need to use your phone.
5. Practice, practice, practice, and HAVE FUN!
